The only exception to which would be if I could get all 3 for $500-700, then I'd INVEST in them knowing I could turn a profit by reselling them next week.

So even if it is a great deal, I wouldn't buy that trio. I bought one in June 73 with serial number 81-0XXXX. I don't own them because I wanted them or thought they were superior, and I don't use them for hunting or shooting, because I feel the new model action is superior for my applications. Rugers site indicates that the New Model Super Blackhawk started production in 74 with serial number 81-12401. I hate the fact they are 3 screw, non-updated, so I could only carry 5 safely. I hate the fact they are blued - as I do with almost every blued gun I own. If you don't really want 3 screw models, then it's not a good deal, because they're not the guns you want.įor example - I own a couple 3 screws for the sake of being able to say I own a couple of 3 screws and to keep my mind fresh on how to work on the old model actions. If you don't care about 3 screw, then it's still a good deal. If you want a 3 screw, and they're all 3 in great shape, getting into them for $900-1000 is a pretty dang good deal.
